Yatogari Clan
The Yatogari Clan originates from Chugoku Tenku, from the Province of Wei. Swordsmen who developed their creeds through devotion to the blade, the Yatogari fancied the katana, wakizashis, and shirasayas. As they developed their swordsmanship, their creed spread over the land of Wei, inspiring thousands of swordsmen to uptake arms. Soon enough, swordsmen would only marry fellow swordswomen, and so forth. Joined together by a mutual association of the blade, the Yatogari Clan strove to master the sword, sleeping with their blades at night in order to hear the voices of their blades; finally, the Yatogari Clan was able to peer into the abyss of swordsmanship, and seek out Mezame, an Awakening that unveils to its wielder the true voice of a katana, and the true form of its edge.
Muso Eishin Jikiden-Ryu & Muso Eikishin Jikiden Ryu
Two profound styles were developed: the novice's Muso Eishin Jikiden-Ryu and the evolved Muso Eikishin Jikiden Ryu, developed as a way of symbolizing the user's demonic mastery of the sword, which hearkens them to be as godly with the blade as a Kishin would be. Every single Muso Jikiden Style is based off of a bird and their mastery of the blade will typically provide them with a boost to their other statistics.
The general guideline is: 2 Stats are selected & the user's Katana Proficiency grants either +4 * Tier or +5 * Tier to those two statistics.
This will depend on the base boosts of the Sword Style, as well as any other effects it may have.
White Ibis is the original style, designated by the first Yatokami.
Red Peregrine is the second style, designated by the second Yatokami, and second generation Yatogari, Tsubaki (Scorpio).
Notable Yatogari are:
Yatogari, Tsukasa [First Shogun]
Yatogari, Tsubaki [Second Yatokami]
Yatogari, Soji [First Yatokami]
Yatogari, Kenshin [Second Shogun]
Yatogari, Kakushi [Third Shogun]
Okita, Hiro [Fourth Shogun]
