Gelel Stone Guide
History
Gelel Stones originate from Arcadia, brought to existence by the hand of the man who first utilized a Gelel Stone, fusing it with their bodies. This Gelel Stone infused Senzo lived in halcyon days before the dawn of war between man, and his passion for the stars fueled him with an insatiable curiosity for the unknown. Her name, Cara Senzo, is unknown now, but she would be the individual to sprout a brilliant replacement World Tree, upon Yggdrasil's demise, to ensure that Arcadia would be whole again. As a result, her Tree sprouted Gelel Stones, blooming with every season, though the number varied with the heat-- hotter seasons provided more of a harvest for the citizens.
Use in Daily Life
Gelel Stones act as batteries for lamps, light-posts, and common appliances. Imperfect Gelel Stones are nearly everywhere in the Arcadian household and Arcadian lifestyle. To call them a rare item would be folly; to call a Perfect Gelel Stone rare would not be false. Gelel Stones are a staple as a result and are well-known in Arcadian culture, though not as popularized in other countries. In fact, the first batteries in prototype cell phones & to power computers were these Imperfect Gelel Stones, wired up to circuit boards. The Imperfect Gelel Stones provide raw electrical energy but as it is expended, it becomes smaller and smaller, for the chemical reactions taking place within the Gelel Stone is what provides for that electricity output, and the ends of the Gelel Stone shrink, leaving behind a residual waste.
Perfect Gelel Stones
Perfect Gelel Stones are Imperfect Gelel Stones that are modified with human life.
Nearly thousands of souls are expended in rituals that create Perfect Gelel Stones, requiring hundreds upon hundreds of non-Bearers to provide for a single one, but only a few Bearers if they want to create a Perfect one.
They do not work like Soul Weapons, and thus, they require a proper engineer to execute this process.
Gelel Fusion
Gelel Fusion with a Perfect Gelel Stone provides no issue to the human itself, for the human souls vested in the Perfect Gelel Stone make it compatible.
However, Imperfect Gelel Stones, geared for machines, can cause severe health implications in an individual who fuses with one. The price of regeneration is to become an abomination of a human, a creature that may not look at all appealing to the eye.
Sunstones
A variation of Imperfect Gelel Stones, the Sunstones were created by Allison Vanderbilt during the time of Jonathan Pendragon, to absorb solar energy and funnel it. The process begins by using dried up Imperfect Stones and restoring their chemical composition through minerals & solar energy. They are placed in Solar Racks, used to wrap over the Imperfect Gelel Stone's remnants and solidify itself to an appropriate size when frozen. In its natural state, it is more akin to a mold, for which the disposed Stone is to regrow into. It makes it so that the interior of the Stone stores the energy chemically in the form of a Gelel Stone, but the exterior enables a regenerating Imperfect Gelel Stone. The energy provided is still raw electrical energy to whatever output the user plans to join the Gelel Stone up with, but the Solar Energy exterior now enables the Sunstone to regenerate itself, so that it recycles energy from the sun, to provide for longer-lasting energy. The quality of the energy does not change, but they are given an opportunity to regenerate through exposure to the sun.
